A whole new world for me.. New faces, New places, New expectations.. By seeing the skul and friends i noe tis is a place of greater expections and greater heights.. Luckily for me i m wif a friend from ITE named Jenny.. We wondered in the skul hopin tat we hav a place.. Den soon we hav to form a group to do our proj.. To our surprise.. 2 students frm our class approached us and wanted to group wif us.. We gladly agreed.. They are called Celine and Yuya.. Frm the start we learnt alot frm them lik wad is expected frm us and getting used to the environment.. I remembered we are owayz concentrated wif our Visual Studies projects as we owayz shoot videos and tats wad we r interested.. We often tire ourself by doin it bt when the end results cm i noe its all worth it.. Nt long after Yuya has to go becoz sumtin cropped up in her country so she left skul.. After her departure Celine changed Drastically.. She started to engross wif her student affair tin and started neglecting her work.. So jen and I got so angry and we decided to get thru tis together.. It was nt easy bt we made it..

Tis is where the real stress begin.. Hahaz.. We decided to add a new member to our group becoz we tin tat our group nids a illustrator badly.. At first we wanted to recruit Irene.. I forgot tat wad initialli happen bt den Des wanted to join us too.. We hav a long discussion and in the end we chose Des instead.. Hahaz.. Nt sure if its the rite choice.. Oopz.. After we made the choice Irene was V sad and avoided us.. Den for Des side.. Gir Ashley was sad too as he was in their group for 2 whole sem.. At tat pt of time i tot we will lose 2 side of friends bt i was wrong hahaz.. They are all understanding.. Okz when Des came into our group alot of tins changes.. Our group started to break into 2 groups 1 is doin interactive the other is doin drawings.. Bt we came 2gether doin the 3danimation.. We got selected into the top 8 of the NEA competition and came in 5 in place.. It was a disappointment throu.. Alot of tins changes in tis sem and i dun tok to jen as often as we used to.. Guess Des is realli a difference maker.. Hahaz.. O ya.. theres oso another difference maker in tis Sem named Roi Hew.. He realli is a great lecturer... I realli respect him alot.. He realli bring animation into my life and let me realli get into it.. He is realli patient towards me and guide me whenever i nid it.. I remembered I often find him in his lecturer room till he is realli sick of me.. Hahaz..

My first human model.. othou it sux bt i m contented wif it.. haha..

This is the last semester of my whole NAFA life and i m teaming up wif Des.. Tis is where real stress came in and we got to go 2 skul in alternate week.. They say its for us to do our ISCG(independent Studies of Computer Graphics) in our free weeks.. Bt i guess its realli abt discipline.. Tis semester is the hardest to go thru as we realli had alot of sleepless nites.. Tis time the assesment was broken into 3 parts.. Preproduction, Production and Post production.. For the Preproduction its still nt tat stress up.. As we onli do research and keep refining our characters.. We chose a V challenging animal to do wif.. Its the CRABS.. hahaz.. And animal is not any of my strong points.. It realli challenging.. Bt we did it.. hahaz.. The stress started on the Production period as we hav to model our characters in 3d max and started boning them so tat they can move and we hav to animate them.. Its a real chore.. And oso we hav to model the whole environment for them to stay in and act in.. It wasnt easy bt i realli learnt alot.. As they say no pain no gain.. Bt in the end we r late for submission for the Production assesment and Roi got so disappointed in us and started neglected us.. I guess we deserve it ba.. Coz if he din do tis we wl nvr learn.. Itz realli yong xin liang ku(duno hw 2 say tis in eng haha) and i can feel it.. Realli touch.. In our Post production period is when the nightmare cms.. We r without the help of Roi nw and its tough as we hav to trail and error everytin ourselves nw and we r on our own.. We got help frm other lecturer named Levi Lim and Andrew Phang.. Andrew helped us alot in our mapping and lightings and oso alot of gd advices frm him for the overall feel.. Levi gave us help and motivate us.. Bt we are still on our own in the animating part.. I remember burnning day and nite in skul and we spent more time in skul den at home in tis period.. Its realli the hardest to go thru period in my whole entire life.. Soon its time to submit our work.. And we are late to submit our Idvd again.. Haizzz.. Bt luckily we get to present our works.. Heard tat theres an external lecturer in it.. And i got realli stressed up while we r waitin for our turn.. Becoz Jenny came out of the COLD room crying and Nigel's group came out sayin tat they r criticised badly... Soon its our turn and i got so tensed up bt i try relaxing myself.. When i 1st c the the external lec she was ok.. Hahaz coz i imagine her as a monster.. Bt she turns out fine.. We din get to present in the idvd ver so we got to present our work thru the computer.. I m afraid tat the external lec and all lec get so bored and den angry becoz the transferin time for our work was abt 9mins.. Without any hesistation I took up our poster and den started explainning and describing our work.. Cant belief i tok for the whole transferring time.. And the external lec keep sayin she cant wait to c our animation.. At tat pt of time i was speechless coz sumbody wanna C my work.. hahaz.. And i kept saying hope i can live up to ur expectations.. Hahaz.. Den its time to witness our work and everyone was stunned at the sea tat Des had done.. So in short their comments was everytin is nice except the movement and the VO.. Some realli unforgetable comments was.. Andrew said the environment in stills is perfect, the lighting everytin is simply perfect.. External lec says We r talented and can go far in this industry.. James said Initially he tins tat we r 2 ambitious and doubt tat we can fin bt he was wrong.. Roi said we did it without his help and its realli a good effort.. OMG how i wish i could hear those words again.. Tat moment was realli perfect and touching.. Tinking of it makes me happi.. All effort is finalli seen.. All the sleepless nites, the locked up freedom, the sacrifices are all worth it.. =)
